We may be approaching the spring season, but it is truly never too late to try new classroom management strategies. Bringing structures and systems into your classroom will not only bring you less stress, but it’s going to bring success to your students.
On today’s episode, I am chatting with Dr. Lori Friesen from the podcast Beginning Teacher Talk. She will be sharing seven classroom management hacks every teacher should try!
Dr. Lori Friesen is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to education. She has taught multiple grade levels in multiple countries. She has a PhD in elementary education with a specialization in language and literacy and has published the Beginning Teachers Handbook for Elementary School.
It’s safe to say that she is dedicated to supporting and inspiring educators around the world. I am honored that she joined me on the show and know that these tips she has given us will help every teacher, no matter what your grade or level of experience!
One of the many reasons I enjoyed this episode is that Dr. Lori shared tips that were easy to implement and effective. She identifies specific classroom routines that consistently lead to breakdown and puts plans in place to prevent that from happening.
Let me just say, you’ll be happy you won’t have to tell students what page to turn to multiple times ever again! She also incorporates movement and gives student’s ownership of their own behaviors. These seven classroom management hacks will increase participation and decrease behaviors as early as tomorrow!
In this episode on classroom management hacks, we discuss:
- 7 easy ways to implement classroom management hacks
- Ideas to get your students involved with classroom management
